DJ Ty Boogie premiered an extended Version of ‘She Can’t’ (Like Mine), last night on Power 105.1. Listen to the clip below. There is no confirmation that this song will be an official single but it is definitely one of the fans favorite. The song will be featured on Ashanti’s album “Braveheart” which will be released this summer!

Ashanti is preparing to battle on the charts once again with her fifth album BraveHeart, due sometime next year on her own label Written Entertainment. This will be Ashanti's follow-up to 2008’s The Declaration. The title of the album was inspired by the Oscar-winning film Braveheart. So far the album features collaborations with R. Kelly, Keyshia Cole, and Busta Rhymes on the lead single “The Woman You Love.” Ashanti says the album is a combination of Hip-Hop, R&B, with an alternative sound, the album is also lyrically deeper! The album is still in the making and details will be revealed soon, make sure you check back!


Army Wives: Ashanti plays the character of Latasha Monclair. Latasha Montclair is a force of nature, an indomitable woman to whom "Southern Hospitality" isn’t just a concept, it’s a way of life. Latasha finds joy in navigating the daily chaos of singlehandedly wrangling her three children - Quincy Jr. aka "Deuce," 11, Nyah, 8, and Gabe, 6 - while her husband, Quincy, is deployed. Family always comes first, but she knows the value of a fun night out with her girlfriends and how a little "me time" goes a long way. Latasha is no stranger to struggle and heartache, but when life hands you lemons, she’ll show you how to make lemonade with a splash of sweet tea. "Army Wives" seventh season premiere starts at 9PM on Lifetime. Tune in weekly!


Ashanti recently returned with her single “The Woman You Love” featuring Busta Rhymes. The song, released via Ashanti’s own label Written Entertainment and is currently available via iTunes. The music video portrays a tortured Ashanti reminiscing about her troubled relationship aboard a starship, recalling the ups and downs with her boyfriend, played by actor Marcus Patrick. Ashanti will be executive producing and hosting a brand new show titled "Fuse News" on the Fuse Network. The 30-minute program will air Monday through Fridays this fall and offer a daily breakdown of the latest music news in a fast-paced format from Fuse’s new state-of-the-art studio on 7th Avenue in New York City. The show's theme song features a recorded track from the princess herself! Check back for more details and for guest appearance info.

Ashanti is also executive producing and starring in a movie called I Love Cinema. “The character that I play is very different for me,” she shared in a recent interview. “It’s a little bit more risqué, more sexy than I’ve ever been. It’s weird because she almost has a split personality.
