“The Woman You Love” has officially gone for Urban Radio & Rhythmic radio ads. The song also has debuted at #95 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop charts. Plan’s for “The Woman You Love”: Ashanti is planning on shooting the video in Los Angeles, California soon. The video will be released in a couple of weeks. The song will officially go for radio ad’s tomorrow. Ashanti has recorded an alternate version for Urban AC radio. The song is available on iTunes & Amazon.

-> Ashanti is saying “Ammo” in the background which is short for Ammunition.

Plan’s for the album: Ashanti would like to do a Spring/Summer release. She already has a second single in mind. She’s worked with many different artist from the east Coast, west Coast, several of hit producers, and even with Seven Aurelius. The album has a lot of different sounds on it. Two records that Ashanti admires lyrically are “Hero” and “R.I.P”. The album’s promotional packaging is being worked on within the next couple of weeks.

Artist Ashanti thinks are hot: Big Sean (“Dance (@$$)”), Wale (“Lotus Flower Bomb”), Tyga (“Rack City”) Nicki Minaj, Eve, Remy Ma, Lil Kim, Katy Perry, Rihanna (Ri-Ri).

10th Anniversary for “Ashanti” album: Ashanti would like to do a deluxe version (or something special) for her legendary debut album. She’s undecided on what she should do. Ashanti thinks putting together a video of momanger’s video clips would be a hot idea. More details to follow soon…

Movies: Ashanti is working on an upcoming movie, she can’t really say too much, she says her movie role is a sassy and sexy character. More information coming soon!

Written Entertainment: Ashanti will be looking to sign artist to her record label after she focuses on her upcoming 5th album. She has a couple of artist in mind (Male & Female).

Clearing Rumors: Ashanti has nothing but love and respect for Jay-Z & Beyonce. Stop all the rumors about her flirting with Jay-Z. She states to MediaTakeOut “Ya’ll could’ve made your story a lot more believable.”

New Songs Previewed: “Blow” & “Bonafide Survivor”, the song “Blow” features sexy and seductive lyrics such as “Look at the position I’m in I play my position to win.”

YouKnowIGotSoul.Com: With Ashanti’s first single “The Woman You Love” making some serious noise right now, a lot of people are ready for her much anticipated comeback. The producer of the first single Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis revealed to YouKnowIGotSoul.com that he plans on creating music that will allow Ashanti to showcase her vocals: “To me, real talk she’s a good singer. She’s wonderful and so talented.”

On the first single “The Woman You Love”:

Ashanti came to see me and actually come to play me some records. She played me a few songs that she’s been working on and I’ve been thinking about what sonic to go out and create for her. The right songs for her where she could be her. A lot of the times, people will come in and say, “Oh my God! I have Ashanti’s record. She sounds vocally. She sounds great musically, melodically, lyrically”. That’s exactly it. I wanted to make sure I give her something that makes a difference and actually to showcase her vocals. To me, real talk she’s a good singer. She’s wonderful and so talented. She did a lot of things and songs before and she wrote and I feel like, “Man, I want to give her something where she could showcase her vocals and people could hear her singing the passion from her heart and the kind of person she is”. To me, that’s why I went in with my team, we went in and actually one of my best friends, we were vibing and Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph, we went in and got the record. Shout out to Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph. That’s one of my best friends.

The overall approach of Ashanti’s album:

To me, we actually got the first record and we’re just vibing. But whatever we’re dropping out there, it’s always going to be something very special. That’s why we’re not in a hurry and we’re just dropping this and we’re going to keep dropping things. Her and I started a relationship like a close friendship, like I call her anytime. The key is that when you say somebody is your friend, can you call them anytime? To me, I really love working with people that’s my friend. I can talk and talk, and then she can come to studio and chill and work. She’s like a friend to me. I’m after for her to win. So the sonic we’re doing, trust me it’s just one sonic, we have so many more coming.

Ashanti is currently in the studio working on her upcoming album which will be out sometime this year. In addition, Ashanti and Jerry Wonda will be UStream tonight at 7 PM EST.

Ashanti was back on the scene. In addition to visiting several Atlanta radio stations on Friday, the R&B singer graced the stage at Tom Joyner’s “Sky Show” to celebrate the release of George Lucas’ film Red Tails. In addition to her classics, she performed her new Busta Rhymes-assisted single “The Woman You Love” live for the first time.

“I have a new record out right now. It’s called ‘The Woman You Love,’” Ashanti told the crowd, which included T.I. and Tiny. “And I know we’ve all been in a situation where we just tryna do everything, tryna be the perfect person—whether you’re a male or female—you just want that person to love you.”

Ashanti met a live audience and V103′S Ryan Cameron at a private location in Atlanta, Georgia. Ashanti discussed numerous things such as: her thoughts before releasing “Foolish”, her reason behind her hiatus in the music industry, her standings with Irv Gotti & Ja Rule, starting her own record label with a breakdown of the music industry, working on “The Woman You Love” with Busta Rhymes, and much more.

Ashanti also stated she plans on releasing her album around the summertime. Ashanti plans on putting out a couple of records and being on a couple of features before putting out the album. Ashanti stopped by “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” to discuss her new single “The Woman You Love,” patching things up with her former Murder Inc. family, recording with Busta Rhymes, and launching her own label, Written Entertainment.

On reconciling with Ja Rule: “We had a three-and-a-half hour conversation and we just hashed out years and years and years of stuff. That’s my brother. I love him and I hope he’s doing well. I think he’s in good spirits. We’ve all been through a lot. We’ve all grown. We’ve all learned. We were all young starting out in the industry. We hashed out a lot of stuff and we needed that.”

On recording her single with Busta Rhymes: “We were listening to the playback of the record and [Jerry Wonda] had the speakers knocking crazy, so Busta came in the room like, ‘Yo, what is that?’ So we had to bring the beat back. And he was like, ‘Shuck! My sister, queen. I need to be on that.’”

On launching her own label, Written Entertainment: “I am the first artist on my new record label, so I’m super excited about that, so you know that profit share is big, homie.”
