Since 2002 Ashanti Daily has been there for Ashanti. We created a forum which has expanded over the past years, and has now became the biggest Ashanti message board on the internet. Check out some fan stories, photos, and videos of fans from our forum meeting the princess (Ashanti) herself. If you haven't joined our forum yet, click here to join!

11.05.05: Ashanti made an appearance at the Macy's Herald Square in New York, NY, to promote "Delicious Curve" Jeans. Theo (Webmaster) and many forum members got a chance to meet Ashanti, aswell.

07.26.06: (Story by Telly) After waiting over 4 years, the day I would meet my favourite artist would finally come. I had been in Queens, and I made my way to Brooklyn (to my grandmothers) to get ready to head into the city to meet up with Jenn and Qua. 42nd and 8th is where I got off, and shortly after I recieved a call from Jenn, she and Qua had been waiting across the street. We headed over to the CBS studios where we would be attending a taping of 106th and Park that would air the Friday. I could hardly contain my exitement knowing I would finally get the chance to see Ashanti live in person. We got situated inside, and waited to be brought up on set, and before you know it showtime. The experience was cool, this was my first time attending the show. "Up next we got Ashanti in the building," Rocsi said, as the camera panned to a backstage shot of Ashanti waving to the camera. Reality began to sink in, and I was more excited than ever. She came out after the break and the crowd went crazy. There was a lot of love in the building. She talked about her role in the movie "John Tucker Must Die" which was in theaters that Friday, and she talked briefly about her music. She left shortly after. but we stuck around for part of the remainder of the show. She was headed over to TRL to promote the film along with the rest of the cast. At this point, myself, Jenn, Qua and now Andrae were on our way to Times Square to wait for the taping of TRL to be over. There was a big crowd, so it was rather difficult to get acorss the street without the Police buggin out on everyone. As the cast started to pour out, one by one the crowd got more rowdy, making it even more difficult for any of use to get through. We decided to wait across the street, and avoid being yelled out by the NYPD until we knew for certain Shan had come down. Shortly after we all walk across the street as Shan was walking out of the building. I asked the officer(s) to let me through, and explained I was a huge fan and I was visiting from Canada, but they did not budge. Finally Jenn saw Michelle Huff, and she let us through so I can get my picture. I walk through the crowd, and Ashanti has her back turned. Michalle called her and she turned around. Of course Tina was there with her flip camera recording everything. She smiled and told me "hi" and I reciprocated back, then Ashanti turned around. We took a picture, my first ever with her, and she took another with a young girl that appeared to be a fan as well. This was one of my happiest moments ever. No matter how many times I've met her, this experience will always stick out. Not only was it the first time I met Ashanti, but it was my first time meeting members of the forum as well, Jenn, Qua whom I still talk to and hang out with when I'm in New York. Check out a photo of Telly & Ashanti below.

10.20.07: *** Ashanti did a meet and greet with Sanaa G from 106 & KMEL. Ashanti got a chance to meet AshantiDaily's two head webmasters Theo & Andre. Ashanti and Tina were very happy to meet them. When asked about the site, Ashanti said she has been on the site a few times. Check out a few pictures from the event below (I'm the one in the second picture hehe).

02.28.08: After 106 & Park, Ashanti & Momanger (Tina Douglas) met up with a few fans from The Ashanti Forum. Ashanti was presented with a fan book, that the users from the forum made. Ashanti was very happy and thankful for the fanbook! Check out video clips and photos from the event below.

06.02.08: (Story by: Rae): My first time actually seeing Ashanti up close was June 2, 2008 @ 106 & Park! i had seen her previously @ a concert in 2002 but it was just the show so i didnt get 2 get up close but @ 106 i thought i was gonna die! she came over and touched our hands! she is like the nice's person in the world! lol! she sang and danced with us! then Aug. 23rd 2008 i saw her again after giving a GREAT performace @ the J&R Music Fest! she did an autograph signing! me and a couple of other Stans wore shirts that spelled out her name so she and Momanger told us 2 get on stage behind her (we not gon speak on what happened in the process ) but she took pictures with us and told us how cool she thought that was after laughing @ the picture of her that was on the back of my shirt which was the cover of "Can't Stop!" and when we took our pics she stood RIGHT next to me! :passes out: but when she sat back down she started signing more autographs i simply called her name and she turned around and i was like ":nervous: can i have a hug?!" and without any thought or hesitation she turned around in her chair and gave me a hug! :passes out never 2 return: after that, the next time i spoke 2 her was on the phone it was very brief she was like "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!" and when she was about 2 leave she was like "Bye Raaaaaaaaaaaeeee!" (i was on the phone with Stans that were in NY @ da "Wicked" play and they saw her afterwards!) :skips 2 Dec. 6, 2008: NEXT i saw her @ the Rex Corp Tree Lighting in Long Island! i felt so important! LMAO! after her performances she came out and gave us hugs and stuff and then she had 2 go back in the building so she walking and we are marching RIGHT behind her! ahhhh it was da best i was INFRONT of Momanger! u know anytime ur infront of Momanger u close lol! but i was literally walking in her footsteps! so we get upstairs and like as SOON as she went behind the rope they put it back up and Uncle Olly came back and DEMANDED that we be on the other side of the rope! (the 1z that he knew and it was all ppl from GA! plus my cousin and sister! ) but she came back out and took pictures with the ppl behind the rope going back and forth back and forth 2 each side of the rope 2 make sure she get as many autographs signed as she could! then she came back to us and took pics and everything and it was 2days b4 my birthday so my friend is like "ASHANTI CAN SHE HAVE APIC BY HERSELF WITH YOU ITS HER BIRTHDAY!" and Tina was like "Yea come on, DID SHE GET HER PICTURE?!" because we spoke a lil b4 that lol b4 she talked about my cracked cd case! but its all good good i still love Mama Douglas! and as she told me "but it still spins! Check out photos of Ashanti with Rae below.

06.03.08: (Story By Jeanelle) The first time I met Ashanti was amazing, of course. I couldn’t stop smiling. I think I went to sleep and woke up with a smile. Then the whole next day I had that same smile. It was unreal to me. I couldn’t believe I had finally met her, my favorite singer. Out of all the times I have met Ashanti, four events seem to stick out. In each of these events something special and memorable happened. Not that every moment with Shan isn’t beautiful but I can only type for so long. So I definitely have to talk about my first autograph and first picture with Ashanti. June 3, 2008. The first words she actually said directly to me was “heyyyy, I like your glasses” and my face lit up like the Christmas tree in Rockefeller center. All I could manage to blurt out was “I love you Ashanti”. I didn’t even say thank you, lmao. But of course she laughed and said “thank you”. By now she finished signing my poster and I said thank you and went up the escaladers. I was hoping to get a picture but they weren’t allowing it. I was disappointed. I went over to the rest of the gang who informed me that we would go back downstairs for a second attempt at pictures. So down we went awaiting Shan to be finished signing. When everyone was out they allowed group pictures only. That was fine by me as long as I had a picture with Ashanti in it. Our group was big and you couldn’t even see me in the picture. I shook it off and said “next time”, and the cycle began. I saw Ashanti a lot more times after that, hoping I can get my picture and it didn’t happen. July 18, 2008. This was my second time to 106 and Park to see Ashanti. Beth had made shirts for almost everyone because she didn’t know a few of us were coming. Unlike last time, we all sat together in the studio, well except 'Team Ashanti‘. They put us on the steps, so we had our own little section. There were only like 3 people we didn’t know. So the show started and Ashanti came out looking beautiful as always. Every time they went to commercial we started singing a song off The Declaration and she laughed and sang a long with us a little bit. When she was walking over to the couch, she was on her red blackberry texting, so I was like "Ashanti, u talking to Nelly?" then everybody was "ohhhhhhh". Her eyes and mouth got so wide, she was shocked. Then she said "yes" and we were like "ohhhhh". When she got to the couch she was like "oh, I wasn't saying yes to yall I was saying yes to him (pointing to her hair stylist)" so we was like "yea right" and she started laughing. Then Dre said, "we saw the video Ashanti, you can't lie no more" and she started rolling. Half way through the show she says, "I have to give a shout to my section ova here, holding me down" and they put the camera on us. Beth was mad hype, she nearly knocked me off the steps. So after the show we went outside and we were planning to go back in for the next show but they was like “the line is too long so people from the first show is not going to the next one. That show was the live show with the Good Good video premiere. We were upset because that’s the main one we wanted to be apart of. With all the times I have met Ashanti in June and July, it wasn’t until August 23, 2008 that I finally took a picture with her. She had another album signing coming up at J&R music world. I told my self “you know what, forget this, I’m getting my picture TODAY!”. We enjoyed the show, got another signed album, and exchanged a few words with the princess. Took another group picture which I have yet to see but that’s a different story. After the signing we went looking for Ashanti’s father and the infamous Xscalade. We found him and started chatting up as usual. Then he got a call that she would not be coming from that exit. He told us what happen and as soon as he drove off we ran to the other side of the building, which was funny. So we’re at the other exit waiting for Ashanti to come out and all of sudden she comes walking from around the corner with a lot of people, looking like Ms. President of the United States. “Hey guys”, she said, “I have to go do some interviews real quick”. So in the building again she went. We waited like another hour or so. So she finally comes out in the bed slippers I saw Ollie, her security guard, take out of the trunk.“wow, you guys are still here? (to Ollie) I have take some pictures with them”.So she posed for a few flicks and I finally got my picture. Shane and I actually shared that moment because we took the picture together and it was both of our first picture with Ashanti. Since then, I’ve made it my duty to take a picture with her every time I see her and I’ve kept my promise. Only problem now was, someone was always in it with me. Call me selfish but I wanted a picture with just me and Ashanti. I was having Ashanti withdrawal, being the fact that the last time I saw her was November 16, 2008. I was so used to seeing her every few weeks, lol. Then it was announced that she would be in Long Island to light the Christmas tree in December. I was so excited, I was about to cured. Little did I know, a storm was up ahead. A few days after the exciting news, I got grounded. This was odd because I do not get grounded, but my mom was dead serious this time. She took everything from me that mattered the most, my phone and laptop. I wasn’t gonna let that stop me from going but as always, time was not on my side. Long story short, I missed that event. I wasn’t completely crushed because I had another chance to see her on December, 8, 2008- two days later. I consider this day to be the best day of life. We had an amazing time, took a lot of pictures and videos. Ashanti went around greeting everyone and when she got to me she did something that I was not expecting. She gave me a hug and said hey, then she told me that she had watched her birthday DVD the night before. “Hey come along…”, she said, and I was so shocked. My eyes become 10 times their normal size and I was lost for words. I think was a little embarrassed but excited at the time. I can’t believe she remembered it. She also told me that mine was the best and it had her dying laughing. I felt so proud and honored (lol, kind of cheesy but hey…). That day she learned a little bit about each of us and where we were headed in life. It made me happy that she cared. On that day I finally got my solo picture. Overall, I was amazed at how nice and sweet she was. She was so laid back and down to earth. I finally saw why her family and close friends loved her so much and why their faces lit up when they talked about her. She is truly a special human being. One of her smiles will light up your day. The whole feeling round her is just amazing. When she's around all that's bad doesn't even matter anymore. She brings peace with her presence. Her swag is outrageous. God has sent us an angel. Her whole vibe is angelic. Besides her personality, Ashanti is a musical genius. I will STAN for her until I‘m incapable. Even when I’m 30, you’ll catch me at her concerts and all her events. Everyday she gives you a reason to love her even more. Ashanti if you read this…Don’t Ever Retire! Ashanti is and will always be the Princess of Hip-Hop and R&B!

08.27.08: (Story Written by: Miguel) So I wanted to be there by 3-3:30.(I Love Shan but Michael does not do that early ) So I was ready by 1. My friend Eli that's driving didn't show up till 2 SMH. Then we still had to drive to Long Beach College to pick up my other friend. Which is so the oppisite way from The Grove. So now we are on our way now and then we arrive and see the parking lot and we go in and see the price $22. So we get out the parking lot and then go far as hell to where apt buildings are and park on the street. So we had to walk to the grove with me and my big ass poster.
After it was CD signing. Long ass line. And they were CD's only. SMH at those people barely buying the CD's. My Eyes got tired with all the SEOD's I was giveing. Anyways this time I was actually gonna talk to her. So when it was my turn and she was like hi. And she got my CD I was like I forgot to show u this earlier. I showed her my poster. She was awwww I love It. You have all my favorite pics. I was like <3 It took me 3 hours to do it. Mama Tina recorded the whole Poster experience on the Holy Ashanti Camera. I was so nervous. Then when we're about to leave My Best friend Jackie was like ask her to sign it. I'm like nah they aint letting her only CD's. So my friend takes it and ask. And Ashanti said yes. I was like . Leave it to Jackie (She's a professional Stan for the Boy Band Menudo, she crazy too lmao) to do sumthin like that. The guy was like no. And shan said its okay ill sign this real quick. I was like I Love you. : ( and yea then I was like thank you. And left. Yea I'm not crazy like Will But next time I'm goin all out. Outfit, hair, bigger poster, front row, yelling at her and everything. Check out photos of Miguel & Ashanti below.
